The Interview

My friend started this interview game. Below are the Rules:

1. Leave me a comment or send me an email saying “interview me.”

2. I will respond by asking you five questions.

3. You will update your blog/site or reply to my email with the answers to the questions.

4. You will include this explanation and an offer to interview someone else in the same post.

5. When others comment asking to be interviewed, you will ask them five questions. (Write your own questions or borrow some.)

This seemed interesting so i asked my friend to interview me. Here are my questions:

1)If you had the key to a special door that would open 1 day in your life, which day would you like to walk into?

If i had that special key, i guess i would like to walk into the day i get married. =) A lot of my friends have gone through it and every single one of them quoted it as the "happiest day of my life"... i have always wondered how mine would be... where... when... and who that special (lucky kaya? hehe) man would be, waiting at the end of the aisle with a smile on his face... and at the same time, not only fullfilling my own dream... but my fathers' as well...

2)You are in a highly stressful industry. What keeps you "keeping on"?

HIGHLY STRESSFUL should be emphasized... hehe... keeping my cool is what keeps me going... there is a lot of pressure from different aspects of my job and executing what needs to be done one at a time will help you accomplish things... sometimes when there is just too much, i just sit with a blank mind for a while.. take a deep breath, compose myself and start at it again... and of course, unwinding sessions and badminton with friends after work helps a lot... =)

3) If money was no object, where on earth would you like to be sitting right now, sipping your favorite coffee?

Hmmm... money was no object?? Okay three options: (1) One of the cafe's in Paris... (2) sitting on the Carribean sands... (3) in a rocket up above viewing the planet earth - now nothing can top that! haha...

4) Since I know you love coffee, which coffe drink would you be?

You mixed me up with Kitty - the coffee lover. Hehe... i'm more of a tea drinker... i just love drinking it in a coffee house (!#?*&)... but if i were to be a coffee drink, i'd probably be a caramel capuccino in decaf... tasted it once in starbucks and i liked it... =)

5) If you could play any of the major roles in The Wizard of Oz, who would you like to be?

I would be Dorothy! She went through so much adventures and created friends while finding her way home. I like adventures and trying new things, her character would be so much fun.

Phew! There goes my interview for you. =)

Four Question Relay

Okay so i got tagged.. the baton is now with me... contrary to my friend's relay talents, i was a track and field kid... ha ha... yabang ba?! So here is my run:
  • Total volume of music stored on my computer: NONE. I listen to yahoo launchcast... =) more variety of music... and besides we are not allowed to have MP3's saved on our PC's.. buhu... my favorite station? Lite Office Music.
  • Last CD I bought: Side A... i forgot the album name, compilation of their best songs... it was a thank you gift for a friend of mine.. =)
  • Song playing right now: If you ask me to, by Patti Labelle... one of my favorite songs...
  • Five songs I listen to and mean a lot to me: Geez there is too much to mention... hmmm five ONLY.. okay... (1) If you ask me to by Patti Labelle - i just listened to that! ha ha (2) Waiting in vain (not the Bob Marley version) - come to think of it, i think i AM waiting in vain... wehehe (3) Someone Like You by Dina Carrol - connected to song number 2, i am waiting in vain for someone like you... MAKES SENSE! (4) Careless Whispers by George Michael - doesn't necessarily mean a lot to me but i like the song, and it reminds me of someone... ha ha (5) Just the two of us by Grover Washington, Jr. - i guess after song 2 AND 3, this would be THE song! connect.. connect...

Now i think i know why i bagged several golds in the races (yabang talaga! hehe)... my responses are quick =) ... i am the final runner of the relay (the first and final runners are always the fastest.. haha) ... the relay ends here.. because there is no one else to pass on to... and i bag the gold... AGAIN! Darn i miss those track and field events! Minus the stilts! =)

Puppy Love

I was rummaging through my old things today and i saw this poem i wrote 10 years ago... I couldn't believe that i still had it among my stuff... that i was able to write something like that at the age of 16... In my own script handwriting, the poem was written on November 25, 1995, signed as "anne, 11251995"... Here it is in the exact same format as to how i wrote it...

I met him once
in a very unexpected place
I gave him a glance
he looked at my face.

We became friends
Oh how good it felt
Yes, i found out
My heart did melt.

Six months passed
I leaned on his chest
That very special moment
when i said "Yes".

We shared our laughters, our joys & tears
I looked into his eyes
then i saw fear.

Oh yes, we've had our sad moments
those moments he looked me in the eye
only for me to say... Goodbye!

Many times this happened, three or four
was it meant to be?
or would there be more!

I love him, yes I love him so
but why doesn't it work out
It's hard to let go!

Two years passed by
yes he's still the one
is it real?
or did i just lie!

I have feelings,
no, i can't deny
I still love him
but why?

Is it destiny?
or was he sent from up above?
no... maybe because...
he's my first love!

How funny when you think of how complicated you thought things were back then... being so young and full of life... lots of dreams and aspirations... at the time i thought it was real love... but now looking back... as i finally throw this piece of paper... with a silly grin on my face... it was just puppy love... =)

How you doin?

I just love this show... Friends... great humor! I just watched the last episode of its last season. How sad that they had to end the show...

It suddenly reminded me of my longtime friends. Those friends that i grew up with. We were emailing each other just last week about the time we did the "Wizard of Oz" play...

Three straight nights of great performance. Each grade participated in the play. Since they were 2 years ahead of me they got the more "mature" part.. haha.. The jitterbugs... and we were the munchkins... how funny picturing that red and orange costume we had to wear... that was really cute... then playing cards and monopoly at the basement while waiting for our turn to perform... i still remember the PMA guests who sat still in one position for 2 hours!

The seesaw incident... Amelia's favorite memory! hahaha... you'll never forget me for that Amz! Sinabi kasing baba muna ako eh! It almost got to ya! Well maybe it should have then i probably would have that day named to WEEsaw day! =)

And then there was the "wire and flip" day... balancing that pole was not much of a challenge, considering that i did it so many times before.. falling on it with a wire sticking up 2 inches from where i landed, infront of the cutest guys in school, was probably one of the most embarrasing moments of my life.. haha... but the good thing? I wasn't alone... someone flew while balancing on it... a simple slip and off she went to the grass... her shoe flew on the other side, right where the cute guys were playing basketball... haha... Nadine, you are the wo-man! =)

There are friends that you gain from all aspects of your life. You meet them in college... at work.. through acquaintances... Some you keep because they have made a "mark"... and some remain as someone you "just know". But the friends you knew since the time you found out the word that contained every letter of the alphabet are the ones that remain there forever... Lots of memories and laughters.... thinking of the good old days makes you realize how lucky you are to have friends like these... Brent days... friday afternoons... hundred islands... boracay... hong kong... tea sessions... thailand -> something to look forward to in the next few months... Kitty, i need that vacation badly! =)
