Stressed Wage Earner

It’s 4:06 pm and for the first time in the past weeks, I have nothing to do. I can’t even believe I am saying that. Well I only got an hour and a half before the workday ends. The urgent requests are at a minimum today so that makes me a very happy employee. Although it is that, that contributes to this laziness I am feeling.

I sit here in my cube and I see everyone staring at their screens… some on the phone with their high pitched voices arguing with someone from manufacturing... some probably pretending to look busy... and some simply can’t even go to the restroom because of too much work. Now among those, where will I put myself? Haha. Sometimes it makes me think if I really want to be in this field. It is a highly stressful environment. Everyday you encounter something new. I guess that’s what makes it exciting. That’s what makes the time go so fast. However, it really burns the heck out of you. And out of everything, it is talking to the people and making them understand the urgency of things that makes it most difficult. Or maybe there’s really just something wrong with the darn system. Or maybe I should change career...

I remember a conversation some of my colleagues and I had during the weekend. We all shared the same sentiments as to how things are currently working. Oh well, I guess a rotten system exists everywhere anyway. I just gotta do what I gotta do to at least imrpove it in some way.

Right now I just want to get away from it all... I want to go somewhere where there’s water... the beach maybe... or a new place... or where there’s sunset... to take away the stress... or simply to just relax me.

AGING

I am aging. Or so, how my dad put it in tagalog, “tumatanda ka na”… Well I am not THAT old.

I spent the day with two of my long time friends. I started it off by attending mass at St. Joseph in the morning. It felt quite fulfilling after. Then we spent the day stuffing ourselves with food that my sister cooked. They too loved her spaghetti… it is THE best in the world. Haha. Then we head off to the salon called “Pamper Me”… to do just that. My hair needed to breathe from all the stress that it gets every morning, so a nice hair treatment did it all. The massage was so relaxing it made me fall asleep while my hair was being treated.

After pampering, we head off to session road. It’s the last day of Session Road in Bloom, we get there and it seemed like the whole city was in one place. Talk about crowded! I was craving for sweet corn for the longest time and we see one very yellow one. And so Kitty and I indulge into that craving. We then decide to have tea at Bruno’s Café. I liked the snacks we ordered, however I cannot remember what they were called. Haha. I think I really am aging. =) But THANK YOU Kits and Nades, i had a great day! =)
