Shallow Tear

I have always been a sucker for romantic comedies and mushy stuff. These stories just make me shed a tear or two. Sometimes I wonder if my tears are simply shallow.

I haven’t written for quite sometime. Aside from the never ending busy days, I was lost in the inspiration loop for a while there. Sometimes little things I shouldn’t even bother giving attention to aggravates me and tends to throw me out of that loop. And then you realize what a fool you’ve been for even giving it any attention in the first place. Am I making any sense?

Today is such a beautiful day. The sun, the smell of the food my sister is cooking up for lunch, the ice cream on the fridge waiting to be eaten, my niece ranting on and on about anything. Someone right this very moment is driving his way home, coming from a place where the sun first was, where the leaves were in yellow, and green and red… and the sun was passed on with a smile.

How nice it would have been it if we shared that moment of seeing those leaves fall. But as I think of it, someday we will share the same sun. And as I stop to think of the mushy movie that I just saw, looking at the great day out the window, I shed my shallow tear and thank HIM for it.
